Red Velvet cake is my favorite from childhood. I was about 11 when I first saw one being cut up and served. It didn't seem real. I haven't made one for years, but I'd say it was time. I used a recipe that used beets as an ingredient.

Red velvet is not my favorite but I wouldn't turn it down. I always think it has red dye in it and that is not something I want to eat. Happy Valentine's Day.
