Sid (Mr Portion control) Bonkers way off the mark yet again!

A couple of quotes from Sid:

Low carb diets have been found to be useful in the "short term" Diabell, unfortunately they are not so useful in the long term as most people are simply unable to stick to a very low carb diet long term as witnessed here by anyone who has been a member here here for more than a couple of years, time and time again we see those on a very low carb diet say that their "weight loss has stalled" or that they "fell off the wagon" even some that have put back most of the weight that they lost initially on a low carb diet, others who recommend a diet that does not work for them yet still pioneer the low carb ethos.”

A few names for Sid that he should remember and have stuck with LowCarb long term all at least four years since diagnosis and on minimum or no medication:

Hanna, IanD, Wiflib, Clearviews, Ray, John, Eddie, Bluenosesol and yours truly.

“Far from being well proven that todays "standard" diet (whatever that is) has been found to be downright bad for you it has been proven many times that the best diet is one that contains all food groups, how can it be better to eat a very low carb diet that then needs to be supplemented with vitamins and minerals that are lacking with out carbs?”

It’s a complete myth that LowCarb is lacking in vitamins and minerals, it’s also a myth that we don’t eat carbs, we just keep to nutritionally dense LowCarb fruits and vegetables.

Sid can’t live without the junk including cornflakes, so he pushes it on everyone else. What he forgets to tell most he is physically inactive and can survive on drugs and the diet of a child. I would have more respect for him if he told people the truth.

Reading and viewing the forums and blogs I am quite convinced Sid reckons his official job title is xxxxxxx xxxxx ( you put whatever letters of the alphabet fits )
He just loves to be controversial

I don't think Sid is controversial I think he just can not make his mind up he knows full well low carb is the way forward. Another word could be dangerous he says one thing and does another.
Perhaps larfs at us all for getting in a stew - a low carb one of course.

Sid due to his disabilities follows a very low calorie diet which is fair enough as he expends far less energy than the average Type 2, but he seriously deluded if he thinks others without disabilities can survive on similar low calorie diet.

He is also fond of giving his backing to the NHS dietary advice for diabetics a low fat carb heavy diet. As the RDA is 2500 cals for an adult male of which 1200 cals should come from carbs (300g) I'm even more convinced he is completely bonkers.

As an aside the RDA for children 5 - 10 years old is 1800 cals of which carbs 220g. That's way above Sids intake.

Sids accident! or should that be he fell of the wagon?

"My last "accident" was a cream tea whilst on a short break on the Isle of Wight which included 2 scones, a couple of hours later 12 mmol/L or something It was nice though"

And here Sid confirms what we all knew, he's a hypocrite!

"Hypocrite? Yes but when needs must I am able to bend my scruples somewhat, I'm diabetic not mad"
