Well I used to love chocolate biscuits but over the last few years since becoming a diabetic I know for my health and sense of well being 10 out of 10 its the salad for me. You can mix and match adding a variety and a lunch time or even evening time meal it is far more satisfying and keeps my numbers on an even keel.
And dare I mention it, how about making a low carb cake (my family call me the low carb cake queen) you can have a small piece (or larger if you prefer) and this still keeps my numbers looking good.
However, each to their own its up to the individual to decide but for me no contest, salad and low carbing just makes sense and wins every time.
Well I would choose the salad, but perhaps with pilchards, very nutritious and a bit cheaper.
If you want to eat biscuits why not make your own lower carb ones, there are quite a few recipes you could use, check them out here or on the low carb food and recipe blog.
Looking through there seems to have been a lot of discussion about chocolate biscuits, chocolate sweets, even dough nuts recently.
It's up to each of us to choose what we eat, but I for one know what I choose now, and thats the healthy option. Cut out the sweets and starchy foods, eat plenty of vegetables, fruit thats not too high in sugar and lovely meat and fish. A bit like going back to the good old days, this 'modern' living has got a lot to answer for.

You could follow the meal with a big chunk of LC sponge cake, the total carbs would be less than a slice of toast!
