Red Peppers : Good Nutrients

There's something cheerful about a red pepper, perhaps that's why it's this blogs logo! Or maybe it's because one cup equals close to 300% of your daily Vitamin C requirement! Why not include red peppers on your shopping list ... or are you already?

All the best Jan

Great for adding to my salads as tomatoes don't sit well with me. I do like a touch of red to brighten things up. Blessings!

Hi there... Happy February!
They certainly do have a lot of Vit C. I love them sauteed as in a stir fry... hubby likes them raw in a salad, either way we seem to get through a fair amount of them whatever the season! Cheers and looking forward to your great posts for another year :D)

We love them at our house, Jan. I always have a couple in the refrigerator ready for salads or stir fry meals. Red is my favorite pepper. ♥

Red peppers or any color don't set well with me. I just cannot eat them raw. I wonder if cooking them takes away all the nutrition. Maybe I can force myself to eat them for my health.

I love peppers but they're something that the rest of the family wouldn't eat so I rarely bought them. Eleanor's now decided that she loves them so they're a regular feature on the shopping list when she's home from uni.

And down this way we call them "capsicums". :)

I am already! Stuffed peppers with various low carb fillings (and vegetarian because of my vegetarian son) are delicious and very healthy.....
