Yes, this really is a work of art!
Anne Aobadia at Diet Doctor site says, "Oh, say can you see this delectable piece of art? Add a colourful and patriotic touch to your festive low-carb holiday table this 4th of July. A fluffy cream cheese mixture layered with juicy berries, dressed up in the colours of the American flag. Turn this recipe into the national anthem this year, guests of all ages will sing your praises."

Of course it is also perfect for other days … family get-togethers, parties etc. just decorate your trifle slightly differently.

3 tbsp. erythritol (optional)
2 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp almond extract
1¾ cups (425ml) heavy (double) whipping cream
1 cup (225ml) fresh blueberries
2 cups (475ml) fresh strawberries
Instructions:
A bouquet to all our American friends as you celebrate 4th July
Also to all our readers, some who have just celebrated Canada Day,
and to those in other countries with festivals and celebrations … enjoy!

...a cool treat.
This is awesome and delicious!
Thank you for the 4th of July inspiration!
I'm trying hard to imagine this in my head, Jan. Basically, it is cheese, cream and fruit. No jelly or cake or sherry. Does it not taste "fatty" with all the cream? Must be rich in calories, I guess.
I'll give it a try.
God bless.
oh, now you're talking!!
A wonderful treat! And it looks so pretty, too.
This looks so fabulous! Hugs, Valerie
Looks fabulous and must taste even better!
Thanks Jan.
Perfect and beautiful, too ๐๐๐๐๐บ๐ธ
That's the kind of thing my sister would put together. LOL. Not me. It's beautiful! My hubby makes something like that, except it's an angel food cake with whipped cream frosting and fresh berries. SO delicious...
Oh yes, definitely a work of art. Looks wonderful.
This looks fab Jen, a real work of art (but I'd still eat it lol) Have a great week, Sue xx

Hello Victor, and thanks for your comments and thoughts.
This lovely recipe does differ from the more usual trifle … because it is the LCHF version. This means lower in carbs and higher in healthy fats, and most say it tastes very good!
Diet Doctor site (where the recipe originates) explains this:
"A low-carb diet is low in carbohydrates, primarily found in sugary foods, pasta and bread. Instead, you eat real foods including protein, natural fats and vegetables.
Studies show that low-carb diets result in weight loss and improved health markers, and just about everyone knows someone who has successfully tried it. There’s not even any need to count calories or use special products. So why is it still controversial?
