I am sure it is more usual to wish readers a happy day, and a happy weekend, with a bouquet of flowers. However, I thought these vegetables looked so lovely that I'd offer you a basketful - virtually speaking of course! I think we may be enjoying some lettuce in a nice salad over the weekend, although that aubergine/eggplant looks good doesn't it! Have you a favourite vegetable?

I tend to favour carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussel sprouts.
Thanx for your offering Jan. I like all of them, perhaps not the green onions so much. We love a salad sandwich in a baguette - tomatoes, olives, lettuce, cucumber and olive oil.

I would prefer that to a bunch of flowers. I don't like flowers cut. I prefer them in the garden.

We're having some lovely salads lately. Just remember to add kalamata olives and a spoon of capers. Not forgetting virgin olive oil plus salt and black pepper. Stay cool you guys 🙂
