Friday Flowers and Low-Carb Sugar Cookies

A comment I made recently to blogging friend Jeannie at The Marmelade Gypsy Blog that 'we'd changed some of our ornaments and decor recently and now have a green and red colour theme, just in time for Christmas!' prompted todays 'Friday Flowers' post.

I know Christmas is still a few weeks away, but we thought why not start getting ready a little early. The above is an older image I've used before, but I just love the red and green colours over the Christmas season. Father Christmas, the reindeer, snowmen, ornaments etc are still in their boxes, and they will come out of hibernation on the 1st of December 🎅 🤶 🎄🤶🎅
Do you put your Christmas decor up before December?

Of course, what could be better than a cuppa
and cookie to reward yourself with a job well done.

That's a lovely flower display, very festive. We don't do any decorating for Christmas until December, I'm even holding out on the mince pies till then too.

I like to get a few things out early...candles and flowers. And I'll look at the cookie recipe and see if I have the ingredients for them. I made pumpkin bread, it's not sweet but I made some cream cheese frosting to put on top. Yumo!

Beautiful arrangement! We usually put up our decorations the weekend after our Thanksgiving, but in the last few years it has been a little later, takes me a little longer to get all the thanksgiving stuff put away and everything dusted and cleaned ready to put up Christmas, sugar cookies are my hubby's favorite!

I have made those cookies before and they are very good. I don't do sugar much anymore. xo Diana

I love the flowers, and I especially love the cloth on the table.
Are there any low-carb cookies or desserts that don't use nut flours? I am allergic to many nuts, so don't eat any. I am always disappointed in low-carb baked goods.

Pretty flowers. I start decorating on Dec. 1 especially if there's a possibility of traveling to visit the Eldest.

Early is gaining popularity. I say if it works, then it works.
I prefer to hold on to autumn decorations until after Thanksgiving because the colors are so cheerful. I blend pine with fall foliage.

My mother made sugar cookies.

As to Christmas, I just try to get through it more than anything else.

The bouquet is gorgeous. I don’t put up Christmas decor until mid December mainly due to tradition and also just having to move things around temporarily. Enjoy your weekend.

We go away before Christmas and return in the mid or later part of January so no decorations at home. When we did stay at home never put decorations up till nearly mid December.

Fresh flowers are so pretty. We don't begin decorating until the first of Advent - November 27th this year, and wait for most decorations until December. It is coming up quickly!

We will put up Christmas decorations on December 8th, which is the day of the Immaculate Conception. It is public holiday in some European countries, such as Austria, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain.

Gosh... I'm feeling so lazy right now that the thought of all I have to do for Christmas is exhausting me to think about it. I need to get through Thanksgiving first.
