Have you ever written about Intermittent Fasting on this blog?
A beautiful and tasty vegetable, but watch out for the stains!
Hey Jan. I LOOOOOOOVE beets. LOOOOOOOVE them. Eating them is the best. However, I'm soon to use their dye in an upcoming DIY photography board project. Just for fun. Eating them. I could eat them every single day.
My mom canned beets when I was young. I always liked them but have never had them another way. These are some good ideas!
I love beets. All these emails looks so tasty. I'm growing some beets and I hope this year I actually get some. Happy new week Jan.
...new takes on favorites.
I'm very excited to try all your beet root recipes. We love beets.
I was thrilled with the beetroot soup!!
Of course the rest too..
I hadn't thought about it at all!!
Thank you Jan!!
great dishes with beetroot!
hugs Elke
The poached egg dish looks fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ Jan.
I've never heard of beetroot soup before. Inthink I'll be using mine in salads, and pickling some to eat during the colder months. Xx
All looks good. We love beetroot and eat a good amount at times, Jan.
To be honest, I know beets are good for you, but I simply don't care for the taste. Some great looking meals, though.
I am interested in this post, as I know betroot's impressive health benefit. This wonderful vegetable helps maintain good cardiovascular health.
Thank you for sharing recipe's with beetroot. I've also heard of beetroot juice, which is good for lower blood pressure.
Have a nice week ahead, Jan 🍒
I like pickled beetroot but have never used it as a vegetable. Interesting recipes.
I do love beetroot but mostly pickle it and use it in salads.
Beetroot truly shines in July! It's wonderful to see attention given to this vibrant and nutritious root vegetable. Not only is it rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients like folate and iron, but it's also incredibly versatile in the kitchen. From refreshing summer salads to smoothies and even roasted dishes, beetroot adds both flavor and color to any meal. I especially appreciate how seasonal eating supports local farmers and ensures we're getting the freshest produce. Thanks for highlighting such a healthy and timely ingredient!
Looks yummy, thanks for sharing.
Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.

Hello Sandi
Many thanks for your comment and question.

There is also a guide to Intermittent Fasting on Diet Doctor site you may wish to look at:

I enjoy eating beets. The beet-orange soup sounds intriguing. I've taken note of that recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Have you ever tried beetroot chocolate cake?

God bless.
I love beets, but if you mess a lot with them, you'll look like you were involved in a blood murder :)
Beets are not a favorite around here, maybe I will try some of these recipes and that will change. ;-)

We really are beet lovers here at this house. In fact, beets are one of my favorite things to can in the summer. I was disappointed when I went grocery shopping this morning and wasn't able to purchase my two eggplant that I needed for the recipe you posted recently. :( At some point later this week, I'm hoping that we go to a different market so I can get them. My taste buds are all set for eggplant. :)
Looks good.. though I have never really been a big fan of beets.
I love roasted beetroot..

Hello Victor
There are many lovely Beetroot recipes and combinations aren't there.
Many thanks for sharing yours here.

I like it a lot, though it does stain! :-D
Hi Jan, I have a couple of questions, but only if you have time to mention about it in any upcoming post. Burdock leaves and white radish. See, I have noticed that Asians use these items in recipes. I am from Montreal, as you know, so the only radishes I am familiar with are the little red ones that you can put in a salad. And burdock leaves...I have no idea what they are or anything about their health benefits. Same as for any radish. Thank you so much!
Himself just harvested a couple of beets.
The carrot fries are something I've never tried but I think I'd love them.

Burdock Leaves and White Radish
I have not used Burdock Leaves but it is popular in many Asian recipes
Have a look at this article I've given a link to below
https://sharingideas.me/burdock-exploring-the-benefits-of-roots-leaves-stalks-and-stems/
You will probably be able to buy Burdock Leaves in Asian stores in your area or indeed quite a few of the online stores such as Amazon or Instacart
With regard to white radish, there is a helpful article you may like to read and again I share the link below
https://benefits-of-things.com/white-radish-health-benefits/
You may be able to buy some white radish at 'TerraBella' Montreal

I hope my answers are helpful for you.

Hi Jan, thank you so much for your reply and for your time. I am going now to check on the links you have provided for me. Thanks 😊 🫂 🙏 again.
Thanks!
I do like beets but we don't have them as much as other vegetables
A favourite way of mine to eat beetroot is to have it fresh from the garden. Baby beets no bigger than a ping pong ball. Toss them in a little olive oil and seasoning and roast them. Unfortunately, I discovered the hard way that an excess of beetroot in the diet can lead to kidney stones.
I love beets. Above all, I love beetroot soup.
Hugs and best regards.
I do enjoy beets. I grow and can them. I have them growing in the garden all year.
Beets and beet root are getting a lot of press lately..Love 'em..
I love beets but forget about them. These meals look delicious.
Unfortunately I don’t like the beetroot much but yes I can have them in juice at least
Thanks for reminding me about this very important and healthy vegetable,I will keep it as mind in future 👍
Me encanta la remolacha, sobre todo en ensalada, hace años las sembraba en mi huerto. Besos.
