Did you know that ...
"Despite its impressive nutrient content, cabbage is often overlooked. While it may look a lot like lettuce, it actually belongs to the Brassica genus of vegetables, which includes broccoli, cauliflower and kale. It comes in a variety of shapes and colours, including red, purple, white and green, and its leaves can be either crinkled or smooth. This vegetable has been grown around the world for thousands of years and can be found in a variety of dishes, including sauerkraut, kimchi and coleslaw. Additionally, cabbage is loaded with vitamins and minerals.
Cabbage is an exceptionally healthy food. It has an outstanding nutrient profile and is especially high in vitamins C and K. In addition, eating cabbage may even help lower the risk of certain diseases, improve digestion and combat inflammation. Plus, cabbage makes a tasty and inexpensive addition to a number of recipes. With so many potential health benefits, it is easy to see why cabbage deserves some time in the spotlight and some room on your plate."

That does look tasty. I love cabbage, especially Savoy.
I love this yum!!
This sounds great. I had sauerkraut today, yummy! Hugs, Valerie
Cabbage is great isn't it? I love coleslaw.
Hope your Mother's Day is wondrous. Enjoy the time with your family.

...bacon goes with everything!
You had me at butter fried!!
That sounds sooooo good. I sometimes cook ground chuck and then combine it with chopped cabbage, spices, and tomato sauce. It's like making stuffed cabbage without all the fuss or the rice. It's good, but your dish with bacon sounds even better. I mean... bacon! I'll definitely give this one a try. Thanks!
This looks really tasty, but I'm trying to imagine the flavor and I kind of just can't. Might have to try it. :)
Hello,
Cabbage is a favorite here at this house. My husband makes a wonderful coleslaw. I have had good years and bad years growing my own. We have a worm that tends to get into my cabbage in the garden.

I am a big brassica fan.
This sounds so simple and good.
Hello Jan,
Cabbage is so good and we have been enjoying coleslaw with a BBQ over summer.
thanks for sharing the recipe.
Happy new week

Looks nice. Have never fried cabbage, will try it.
This does sound tasty.
Cabbage is so often associated with being a soggy school dinner mush.
This certainly looks much tastier.

Yum, I'm making this for sure!!!!
I haven't fried cabbage in awhile either. This looks very tasty! Hugs!
We eat cabbage often (various kinds of cabbage) but mainly raw in salads and cooked in stir fries. It seems almost counter productive to add bacon with all its nitrites, salt, grease etc.
Yummy, yummy! Thank you! Big Hugs!
I live in Sweden and our bacon is not worth eating. :( I was in Yellowstone. their bacon was so tasty you could eat it as snack ;)
Cabbage on offer at Aldi this week. Trouble is, for just the two of us one cabbage gets a little too much. I must try this recipe to ring the changes a little.
Love cabbage. Grew up eating it. Still eat it.
No bacon for me though. Still yummy!
unmmm, isn’t everything better with bacon! This sounds very yummy!
