Happy Friday and weekend wishes to you

… as it's Friday
why not treat yourself to a
Low-carb, gluten free muffin cake which has a hint of cinnamon
and goes very well with a cup of tea or coffee

Ingredients:
Makes 10

4g carbs per muffin/cake
200 g almond flour or crushed almonds
¼ tsp salt
4 eggs
80 ml water
2 tsp baking powder
100 g butter
10 g Splenda (sugar substitute)
2 tsp cinnamon
Method:
1. Preheat the your oven to 350º F 180º C gas mark 4-moderate
2. Mix all the ingredients together either by hand or using a mixer.
3. Grease a muffin/cupcake pan and evenly divide the mixture.
4. Bake for about 25 Minutes
Notes:
These taste amazing, but you can also add sultanas, nuts or anything else to the mixture before baking if you so wish, although this will alter the carb count!

A variety of recipe ideas are within this blog, but please note, not all may be suitable for you.

If you may have any food allergies, or underlying health issues these must always be taken into account. If you are a diabetic and not sure how certain foods may affect your blood sugars, test is best, i.e. use your meter.

All the best Jan

Buena merienda y un precioso ramos de flores, para adornar la estancia.

Me gusta la composición que has hecho , con el ramo de flores y la taza al lado. Es muy agradable, para la vista.

Simple and delicious. Dawn is over an hour away here so it is (perhaps) too early for me to be thinking about them though.

Good afternoon tea and a beautiful bouquet of flowers, to adorn the stay.

I like the composition you've made, with the bouquet and the cup next to it. It's very nice, for the eyes.

Thanks in advance,

Hello Giorgio
Welcome to the low carb diabetic blog.
Many thanks for your comment and question.

For those who are just starting a low carb / keto lifestyle cholesterol levels are affected and it could make sense to wait until someone’s weight has been stable for a few months before assessing cholesterol levels.

There is a lot more information to read about this on Diet Doctors site which I'm sure you will find helpful.
This is the link you will need

All the best Jan

Hello Jan,

actually, I have to wait at least three months before testing my cholesterol levels once again.

I'll visit the website which you mentioned. Thanks for sharing its link :-)

Have a nice Sunday!
