Peter Frampton - It Don't Come Easy (Ringo Starr 80th Birthday Cover) Saturday Music

Sir Richard Starkey MBE, known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor widely famous as the drummer for The Beatles. He recently celebrated his 80th birthday and musician friend Peter Frampton released this video in celebration.

Peter (70 years) is is an English-American rock musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist. In 2019, Frampton announced his farewell American and UK/EU tour. The reason for the farewell tour; he received a diagnosis that he has inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder characterized by muscle inflammation, weakness, and atrophy (wasting). Part of every ticket sold for the tour was donated to benefit Frampton's newly established myositis research fund at Johns Hopkins, where he’s being treated. Unfortunately in April this year the UK/EU part of the tour was cancelled because of the COVID-19 virus. I hope you enjoy this video. Happy Weekend Wishes. All the best Jan

Where's the 80 year old drummer? It's him I wish to see. and listen to his beat.
The guitarist is a good one, no doubt about that.

Peter Frampton is always a great listen. I look at him, keep expecting his wild hair. He is a good man.

80 yrs old? Sir Ringo Starr, he did some great songs post Beatles.

Their ages make me feel old all of a sudden. Wonderful tribute, and well wishes for Peter Frampton in his fight to beat this disorder.

it's so weird seeing these icons ageing, can't get my head round it - as of course it means I'm old too - their music will never date.

I remember after the Beatles broke up,George Harrison had a big hit with 'My Sweet Lord' and John Lennon had a big hit with 'Imagine'. One was about God and the other about no religion. This one was Ringo's hit.

Pete can still do it. Glad his condition hasn't progressed yet to the point where it affects his ability. I remember him doing a pretty good rendition of "With A Little Help From My Friends" for the Sgt Pepper movie back in the day, too, so Ringo Starr's songs aren't new to him!

Love it. I remember the first time The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. My father got up from his rocking chair (not easy with Parkinson's) and said, "I'd just as soon as listen to it thunder". lol This is a wonderful post! Diana

I rather went off Ringo when he tried to lecture us about Brexit. He should stick to making noises on his drums, forget politics and remember who made him famous, the British public, 52 % of who voted for Brexit at least four times.
