It's The Weekend

Yes, the weekend is here.
Will you be shopping, seeing family / friends, writing Christmas cards, catching up with housework,
or perhaps you may find time to put your feet up and relax with a good book or listen to some music.

If you plan on taking some time to relax, with a cup of tea / coffee
you may also like to enjoy a slice of
Clementine Almond Cake
the recipe is low carb, flourless and gluten free
see more details here

~ However you spend your weekend, I wish you a good one ~

Dear reader, you will find a variety of recipe ideas are within this blog, but please note, not all may be suitable for you. If you may have any food allergies, or underlying health issues these must always be taken into account. If you are a diabetic and not sure how certain foods may affect your blood sugars, test is best, i.e. use your meter.

All the best Jan

We have a busy weekend with attending a dinner party with friends, and a granddaughter's first birthday. All happy times. There will surely be cups of tea along the way. Happy weekend to you!

The cake looks nice.
Made a batch each of Rum balls and Frangelico balls today - water melon for lunch, Sunday visitors for a barbecue of homepage salads, steak and hamburgers!

I did use my meter and my glucose reading this morning was not horrible. I was surprised. Then again... maybe it'll be a delayed Thanksgiving reaction and it'll hit tomorrow.

It looks delicious. We've had our first snowfall of the year so I'd like to hunker down but I'll be wedding dress shopping this afternoon with Eleanor.

I will be staying home as I have a cold and cough. I had a test, and it is nothing worse, so that#s a relief! Have a great weekend!

We are having to contend with Storm Arwen today so I'm staying snug and warm inside and have my fingers crossed that we won't get a power cut.

The cake looks a perfect snack with tea on a cold, dark, rainy night. I'll have to try it one day this winter. As for my weekend, I hope to do a spot o0f cleaning, a bit of decorating and resting too.

Yesterday the sun finally shone again, after what felt like an eternity ... and I tied my Advent wreath in the sunshine. Splendid. :-))) And do you know what I'm doing now? I bake your wonderful clementien cake. Thank you very much for the recipe.
Many greetings to you. Have a wonderful Sunday in Advent.

Enjoy your weekend Jan and Eddie. And try not to watch TV news or read the gutter press. We would all be so much better off.

I am so far behind, we have taken in a 5 week old kitten that was abandoned by it's momma under our deck and there just isn't enough hours in a day, trying not to sweet it right now.
