It now appears the BDA and their dietitians have been promoting "dodgy health/nutrition/medical claims" for a very long time. So many BDA members have described our low carb high fat diet as a passing fad, a diet that could lead to a myriad of health problems. The BDA has promoted a high carb (sugar) diet for decades and warned us countless times about saturated fats. Salt was also a one way ticket to the knackers yard and dietary cholesterol was Beelzebub reincarnated.
Well according to the The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, commends the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee for drafting a strong, evidence-based Scientific Report outlining recommendations and rational for the forthcoming 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The Academy supports these recommendations that will improve how and what Americans eat. The new recommendations.
In short. Cholesterol is healthy, saturated fat is healthy, salt is healthy and sugar is unhealthy. So when will the BDA stop pushing not only a diet of slow death to diabetics, but also for the rest of the UK population? Even the BDA can't keep promoting "dodgy health/nutrition/medical claims" can they? How long before we hear don't blame us we only follow orders and other limp excuses for the "dodgy" information that has brought about the early death of countless diabetics. Could all the "dodgy" information be the reason for the epidemics of obesity and type two diabetes?

No spin, just the same old, same old.
I am looking forward to watch how the people like Catherine Collins would peddle back.
