Christine Cashin registered dietition, raises the anti!

I have just checked on the mobile phone messages, and it appears we have gone beyond the retraction of the “Welsh Bint” comment. We have been given the date of 8th. of June, and we have found the comment and deleted the words that caused offence . As suspected this phrase was not used in a blog post, but came in as a comment.

The complainant has now ratcheted up the complaint. We have now been requested to remove all references to the name of Christine Cashin from this blog. As I have stated, Christine did not deny to being Ally 5555, sportdiet, Chris and dingbat in our telephone conversation in December. If she is now retracting the confirmation, I hope she will contact us to rectify the situation. If she can offer us unequivocal proof she is not Ally 5555, Chris, Sportdiet or dingbat, we will remove all references to Christine Cashin and post a full apology for any distress caused.

Never let it be said, we are less than fair !

So Ally has been offended by a comment and yet she can post this about dementia, maybe would should mention it to the police for it is far more offensive than calling someone a name. "Trouble is, it does their cause no good at all. It just comes across as a couple of OAP's with dementia and or selective memory problems." http://carbophile.blogspot.com/2010/11/i-shudder-to-think.html#comments Graham

Some may not know that Ally was instrumental in starting the so called carb wars on DCUK, unfortunately many earlier threads were deleted. There is however a few still left were she can clearly be seen stirring things up, and also lets not forget she was once "banned" from the low carb forum on DCUK. This is thread from July 2008 and is typical of Ally's earlier posts. http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3451&p=17859&hilit=ally#p17859 Graham

According to Wikipedia; "From Arabic بِنْت (bínt, “girl, daughter”), used to denote a patronym." & "Although the term can be used in a derogatory sense, in general it refers simply to (usually young) females." It's obviously an insult to be considered a young girl!! Well we learn something new everyday.

Said it before saying it again useless as a dietitian to the diabetic community and a drama queen and we haven't even talked about her personality yet!

Here's a request from Fergus

"Here's a challenge for you, Ally. Show us a standard piece of written dietary advice NHS which explains the advantages of carbohydrate restriction. It could explain how starches are nutritionally poor yet induce great rises in blood sugar levels. It might describe how proteins are capable of fuelling gluconeogenesis, so that blood sugar levels can remain stable throughout the day. It might even talk about how fats have been maligned and how serum insulin levels are much more significant in effecting HDL, LDL and triglycerides in the bloodstream."

Of course, like many, many others no reply!
