"It's easy to make ststements which seem sensible, but
don't stand up if properly tested. Like the dubious safety of low carb
diets. The Epilepsy community, who have been using Ketogenic diets for
almost 100 years, have not found any dangers, in fact not many sid
effects at all."
Hana
I have always liked Hana, she battles away year in and year out helping others to a safer way to control their diabetes. None of us know all the answers, and she occasionally gets things wrong, but one thing she is 100% correct about, is the fact a lowcarb lifestyle has no 'sid' effects. Perish the thought a lowcarber would leave themselves open to going completely 'Bonkers'

ETYM quote of the week.
Grazer thought he knew it all. Nobody knows it all. Diabetes is for the rest of your life and can throw up some surprises.

Its very easy for those who manage to control their diabetes very quickly and easily to feel complacent.
I am not having a go at Grazer - he deserves respect for all the help he gave to the newly diagnosed on DCUK, I couldn't have done it.
I often think how much it is to the credit of Eddie and Graham that they were not just satisfied with gaining control for themselves but have fought for others to have the opportunity to do the same for so long and against all the odds.
True heroes.
