I know that Kale is not everyone's favourite. It is in season at the moment and there seems to be a plentiful supply in our local shops. There are many recipes available for Kale and some may prefer to massage their kale as it softens and tenderizes kale leaves by breaking down tough fibres. It reduces the bitterness of raw kale and brings out great natural flavours.

Kale
This intensely flavoured member of the cabbage family has been cultivated for over 2,000 years and has long been popular in colder regions, thanks to its excellent resistance to frost. It's at its best between September and February. Fresh kale should be a vivid green colour with crisp, un-wilted leaves. Kale is well-known for its health-promoting qualities, including its nutrient density and antioxidant content. A cup (67 grams) of raw kale contains plenty of B vitamins, potassium, calcium and copper. It also fulfils your entire daily requirement for vitamins A, C and K. Due to its high amount of antioxidants, kale may also be beneficial in promoting heart health.

I enjoy kale lately!
Stanley and your grand are so sweet! I do like kale, but have not all my life. Unfortunately I grew up in a time when folks cooked it to death. I like it lightly steamed since I've "grown up."
I love kale. Great with tomato sauce and garlic.
God bless.
I love kale and I bet Stanley does, too.
Gracias por la receta el kale es genial .
So funny...or sad in a way...I did not remember the other post. I sometimes say I don't have a memory. I have to set times, schedule emails to remind me of stuff because for some reason when I set reminders, they don't always work. Anyway, Lorelei is getting some kind of tortoise for Christmas...but will be getting him after their vacation because it gets too cold to ship at Christmas time.
I also like Kale.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Never ever had kale that I know of.
Definitely not for me.
I like kale.
The other household resident does not.
Your grandbaby and her friend are both lovely.
Funny. Ingo really just said yesterday: How about kale this weekend?
Cute pic of your Granddaughter (and the pet).
Kale is very healthy, but I do NOT like it! Lovely pic of your granddaughter with her tortoise! Valerie
We have it steamed, often.
Kale wasn't always a favorite, but I've been eating it lots more in the past few years, and enjoy it. Happy Weekend and Hugs, RO
I've had Kale and don't mind it, but when there's a choice I choose spinach.
Tastes like grass clippings 🎃
Ah, Kale. Tried it once. Can't bring myself to try again. But that spinach soup, now, that's more like it. Maybe I can delete the kale. xoxo
I had some kale, fresh, just picked and HATED it. However, I have had kale chips, a kale salad and those were pretty good. But my first thought is eating it fresh just picked and I tend to stay away from it.
i don't really like kale and usually substitute it with spinach when i have a recipe that calls for it!!
i recently had kale chips and they were ok!! your granddaughter is adorable!!
Never had kale.
Kale doesn't known here in Turkey. Our cabbage season just beginning but i would like to try kale.
We don't eat kale but I think that is about to change!! Will certainly give it a try.
I prefer spinach too, but when I make smoothies, I like to add some kale. And thanks for reminding me of other great word that includes the letter K. For when I play Word Master.
I like kale but don't love it. I bought some today at the farmers market with the intention of putting it in soup. I always buy greens and don't always get around to making them. I'll look at your kale recipes for ideas. Thanks
I like kale, especially raw. It's amazing how good it is for you compared to lettuce too.
Little Stanley knows a good thing when he sees it. We used to see the wild Heermans in Menorca where they are very common, big and small.
La col rizada, creo que no la he probado. Tu nieta se ve muy bonita. Besos.
Your grand-daughter is adorable! Thanks for the recipes!!! Big Hugs!
