Goodness me, just a week ago it was New Years Eve! Now here we are and it's the first Sunday of 2024. Here in the UK this past week we had a lot of rain and strong winds, some areas have experienced flooding, my thoughts are with those affected.
Socially, we have had a busy start to the New Year with two family get-togethers, one of which was a birthday celebration (not mine) the food and cake was most delicious 🎂 😋

How quickly the 'real world' takes over . Christmas and New Year seem things of the ancient past as we hurtle through January, with Valentine's Day on the horizon and then Easter - we are driven by the commercial year or so it seems.

We woke up to 3 inches of snow Saturday morning but by this evening most of it has melted but we enjoyed it for a little while!
