Back after a great five day break, seriously chilling out. After a couple of days with my partner in crime Graham, we headed off to the lakes for a few days. Jan and myself are getting very boring in our old age, and unless we win the lottery, and can afford to hire a private jet, we are staying in the UK. The thought of commercial plane travel and hanging around at airports makes us go cold. As usual we got very lucky with the weather, as you can see it was glorious, not too hot and perfect for walking around, and sitting in outside cafes and bars people watching and relaxing. We are back up in the lakes in around eight weeks time, how boring is that ? We have got to that age where we don’t need much, each others company, a warm day, and minimal aggravation. Yes, I’m going low profile from now on, I’ve taken on more than my share of internet nutters of late, (more on that subject another day) jeez I need a break from them.

Looks like you had a great time. Don't let the nutters get you down Eddie. :)

Thanks Carole, no one more loyal than you. I will be back kicking butt big time soon. Dealing with Lawyers at the moment, watch this space.

Such lovely pictures, it's nice to get away for a few days to recharge your batteries. The Cotswolds are a good place to go if you have a chance.
Kate
The Lakes are very picturesque

looks like it was great! ...don't let the lawyers get you down, either! ;-)
Hi - I did pop over yesterday to look at you photos... just didn't leave a message. I fully intend to get to the Lakes sometime in the future. We plan a trip through many parts of UK in the future!! We've only been to London then up to Petersborough, Cambridge and Stamford. Obviously many more places to go!
Hi everyone
Many thanks for your comments and thoughts, it's always great to read them, and they are appreciated.
I'm biased but yes the UK has some great places and sorry to say I haven't seen them all yet, few more still on the list.
All the best Jan
