Over at my favourite diabetes forum diabetes.co.uk skulduggery seems to be afoot. A great thread called “ GP uses low carb diet with thirteen patients” has disappeared. This was about a Doctor getting great results for diabetic patients with a lowcarb diet. As highly predictable, the forums arch buffoon Sid Bonkers (aka Mr. Corn Flakes) put the boot in. The thread disappeared swiftly. We have every post posted on this thread, sent in by a disgruntled member at diabetes.co.uk, watch this space for more news.

Quote from the aptly named Bonkers:
What I have said on numerous occasions is that restrictive diets do not work in the long term and there is lots of evidence to to support that stance, in fact it is the reason why low carb diets are generally only useful in the short term ie. 6 to 12 months. You only have to read this or any other forum and see how many threads there are titled something along the lines of "weight loss stalled on low carb diet" or "low carbing and not loosing weight".

Bonkers daily calorie intake is around 1200kcal which in my book is a very restrictive diet.
