Why Coconut Oil Won’t Kill You, But Listening to the American Heart Association Might!
This is a great post from a Woman who knows what she is talking about. Diana Rodgers, RD, LDN, NTP. Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Check out what Diana says about coconut oil here.
Thanks for the link, it made a good point and showed how stats can be manipulated to suit the situation. I'll take inner happiness with some butter everytime against highly processed spreads. Cheers now :D)
i love what sue wrote!! we have talked about things like this before, i get dizzy reading everyone's opinion. and the comments from the link. i too, will have butter on whatever i am having, everything in moderation, right!!??
A great link! I just finished translating into Russian Gary's answer, and it looks like I have to translate the article you provided as well! And in my plans to translate couple chapters from Tom Naughton book for children as well!
Really I dont like so much coconut oil. But when finally I was thinking in buy to some recipes I find but really expensive. So I use vegetal oil only in little amounts, usually a bottle is for a month here .
I always tell people to follow the money, he who pays the piper names the tune. So many so called health organisations are pay-rolled by junk food or big pharma, often both. The message is simple eat whole natural food from the farm or the sea, not some giant food companies failed science experiment.
Every year different studies come out and either are really bad for you or are really good for you and then it flip flops the next year. I tried cooking with coconut oil over a year ago and I didn't like it so I don't use it. I don't use margarine but I do use butter and olive oil because I like them.
Thank you for sharing this article, my hubby and I had talked about it and he said we need to make up our own minds and see what works for us and this seems to be working so we are sticking with it, I appreciate you sharing this!

All things in moderation, right?

It's a shame that consumers really have to be on their toes these days. I always try to read original research.
I love coconut oil so am glad to read that it is still considered beneficial.
