Conclusions: Our data suggest that higher dairy product intake during adolescence is associated with a lower risk of T2D. Some of the benefit of dairy product intake during high school may be due to the persistence of the consumption pattern during adulthood.

Good quality fats are essential for a healthy life in adults, even more so in a growing child. The fats in butter, cheese, cream and milk are perfect. I remember a few years ago some genius came up with low fat formula milk. This lead to all sorts of problems in babies and infants. No dietary fat and we die and that’s a fact !

When you look back dairy products milk, full fat not this semi skimmed etc which is around these days, cream, butter, cheese were so much part of our diets. I am convinced we ate and were therefore healthier then which means that later in life we get the benefits.
It is also very important to keep taking in these good quality fats.
