Singin' in the rain or Dancin' in the sun !

I do like the film and song Singin' In The Rain and for some reason this song has stayed with me over the years and even now I can often be heard singing it around the house ... well perhaps attempting to sing would be a better description! LOL!

Dancing, is something I've always enjoyed from a young child when enjoying ballet lessons, a little bit of tap dancing, and then when older to ballroom and Latin American Dancing ... oh, I simply loved it. Perhaps that is why I do enjoy the UK Strictly Come Dancing show - I think in the US it's called Dancing with the Stars!

I love being with the grand-children the saying 'they keep you young' comes to mind. Their energy levels and joy for life is just wonderful and so contagious ... I love it! Mind you it is also nice when you kiss and wave them goodbye and sink into a comfortable chair and enjoy that cup of tea in silence ...

So yes, you've guessed it! Here come a few pictures (taken at various times over recent years), of our five grand-children, I just can't resist them ...

... and now as I sit quietly with my cup of tea,
my thoughts turn to 'what's for dinner later?'
I think it may be this ...

Provençal Chicken - a favourite : Especially for low carbers
you can see the recipe here

Just Singin' in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again ...

Enjoy your weekend,
and for those of you who may be celebrating Mother's Day, have a happy day

All the best Jan

Hi Jan, Happy Mother's day. Your grandchildren are so precious. We were not able to have children but I certainly enjoy when my dear blog friends share theirs with me. Fun to watch them grow and change thru the years. Have a lovely week.

A most enjoyable post and lovely pictures. I've always been a fan of old-time musical films and the wonderful dancers in them. Sadly I've always been a bit of a clod-hopper.
I hope you enjoyed your dinner and weekend. xx

Your grandkids are absolutely darling, Jan! I know what you mean about handing them back to the parents after the visit is over though... my nephews are little balls of energy and as much as I love them, I love the quiet afterwards lol

I hope your Mother's Day was splendid :)

xo,
rue
