The truth is there are certain plant leaves that are said to work well as substitute to toilet paper. I don't know whether organically grown or not, but I've recently read that these leaves are reccommended in Australia.
Yes, I remember the squares of newspaper hanging in the draughty outside loo. In the middle of the winter too following a walk to the end of the garden. No wonder we're tough old buggers.
