Konstantin Chaykin Moscow Comptus Easter Clock

I have had an interest in mechanical watches and clocks for a long time. A good mechanical watch, can hold time keeping to plus or minus two seconds a day, this fact I find amazing. Good watches and clocks are mechanical masterpieces. In a world of mass produced junk, please check out this stupendous work of science and art.

ן've been there; seen the clock from distance.
I love mechanical clocks and wrist watches. I've got some and sometimes set the time.
I also view them as masterpieces.

How in the world did people think of such an involved way to mark time? Absolutely amazing...... и все это в этом прекрасном соборе!

(And all set in that beautiful cathedral!)

Spectacular work, I also love mechanical watches, I admire the thoroughness and complexity of its assembly, then the box that envelops it is the point and end of a good work of art without a doubt.
Happy week.
Best regards.

Thank you for sharing. What a totally amazing clock. Sure miss times when things lasted and that repair was both cheaper and better than buying new.

I used to repair mechanical gages with their gears and springs, but I have never seen ANYTHING as complicated and precise as this clock. It's a marvel. Nothing digital will EVER compare to this.
