"The revelation comes as Mr.Gove pledged to scrap VAT and bring in a lower sale tax to stimulate business following Brexit in a Sunday Telegraph piece" As posted here. In 2020 the VAT raised according to these figures here will be over £800 billion. That equates to around 37% of gross domestic product. I am old enough to remember when £800 billion was considered to be serious money.
Methinks Gove AKA 'the back stabber' has been snorting too much cocaine again if he thinks scrapping VAT will improve the UK's finances. That being said, I suspect his new wonder scheme will relieve the serfs of more money than VAT brings in.
Still, as the Ad Men tell us, all publicity is good publicity.
A warning to all keep away from illegal drugs, don't end up like this bloke!
OK, I know, some will say I'm a privileged white male, a misogynist, and a knuckle dragging Nazi, it's a mad world, and getting crazier by the day, and boy, do I fit right in. And to think our friends in the US think they have it bad with their politicians.

The less said about Gove the better! Esther has always been for Brexit.

It's quite a time with Brexit. We are watching from across the pond!!!
There are lots of clowns all over the world. The list gets longer. :)
Great photo of Gove :)
I see you haven't mentioned Trump's pick for PM. Boris Johnson. ;-)
Who every is the next Prime Minister I sure hope he or she does well for your country. We end up with Trump here.
Every notice that when Trump is with other world leader or on debate stage. He grunts and snorts. I have to wonder if he has the drip from to much powders.
Coffee is on
This is an interesting post, very well presented. Between your post and the other comments, I don’t have any relevance to add.
Just stopping in to see what's new and to show my face. Hope you had a nice weekend.
Wishing you all the best!
The whole world has gone bonkers.
You got that right ~ world crazier by the day ~ Someone once said ~ There should be a yearly 'hunting season' on politicians and reports. Tend to agree ~
Happy Day to you,

My vote is for Esther
Esther McVey won't win. A pity in many ways... The challenge for the next PM, methinks, is not merely Brexit but bringing our fast falling apart country together. The latter seems to me the priority and biggest challenge. Part of that necessitates rebuilding trust - not just in the Conservative Party, but in all of them - and in Westminster too. Time for major reform, chaps - but none of them, stuck in their elite out of touch bubble, seem aware of the fact. Let's start with the lawyers...
With Boris still to say what he may, or may not do, I have not got much time for any of them. Yes they are in the Westminster bubble and want to serve their party more than they do the country and the people who voted for them. I want out of the EU but I fear that we will still be in it on 1st November!

doesn't sound like you have much better options, that picture of the girl makes her look like a hooker
