Trump and the "Fake News Media"

I don't usually comment on the comments that come in on my posts, but my Trump post yesterday certainly kicked up a bit of a storm. When Donald Trump joined the race to become POTUS I never gave him a chance, I thought it was some sort of publicity stunt, but I was wrong. The Polls and US and UK media gave him no chance whatsoever. But how wrong was I, and the media were exposed as totally clueless. Trump won, and coined the phrase "Fake News" and by jove he is right.

Trump has made some big mistakes, first he is trying to do what he promised to do before he was elected, a very rare thing. Just look at our lying Politicians regarding the Brexit situation. Most MP's on all sides of the house, have done everything they can to thwart the will of the majority of people, in the largest free vote the UK has ever had. The leave side won, and it should have been end of, we were out. Will we ever be out? I certainly hope so.

Trump promised to build a wall, made sense to me. How can a country have military in place all over the world, yet have a non existent border for the US. I accept many immigrants walking into the US are just looking for a better life, who can blame them, but the fact is, they provide a cover for some of the most vicious criminals on the planet.

Trump also said he would drain the swamp, that's a work in progress, but he has certainly exposed the worst, of the totally corrupt swamp dwellers. We now are learning how Obama and the Clinton crime family done their best to scupper Trumps chance of winning, with highly illegal tactics. People in very high places, in the US Security Services, appear to have committed high treason, will they be punished? time will tell.

A classic example of Trump derangement syndrome is our once great BBC, which has become a totally biased propaganda machine for the Champagne Socialists and Globalists. Only appealing to the great unwashed, SJW's and rebels without a cause. A typical example yesterday from the BBC.

Oh well, have a nice day folks, I'm out of here and heading for the bunker. When Jan sees this post, I reckon a severe verbal reprimand could be on the cards. She will probably tell me, I should not get involved in politics as I can never win, and she is probably right.

The more time goes on so much political corruption is exposed including here at home. I applaud anyone who tries to clean things up. I also hope the will of the people will be honoured in England. I cannot fathom why things are taking so long to reach agreement despite Theresa May giving it her all to implement the outcome of the referendum.

Olá, A politica do presidente americano não é seria, assim, como a postura que ele tem em ofender os outros como se tivesse esse direito, a eleição do incompetente Trump foi um desequilíbrio num todo para o planeta.

You are just writing your opinion, nothing wrong with that.

La política es bien complicada , la mayoría de los políticos prometen mucho para que los voten y luego hacen lo que les viene en gana....yo no me suelo fijar en lo que dicen sino en su manera de obrar y ninguno me ofrece la confianza la 100x 100

I thought Jan was on board when she posted about low carb for mental health problems.

Kidding aside, people need to look at Trump's accounts on Twitter and Youtube (unrestricted mode) to know what he actually says.

Thank you for that! I support our POTUS. Nobody is perfect, we are all just doing the best we can on any given day. Some days we are on a roll and some we mess up.

Sorry Eddie, but I guess you and I have to agree to disagree. Please read the Mueller report. I have a copy of the over 250 pages. I won't begin to disagree with you about Hillary, because she was as underhanded and deceitful as many others, but Obama was NOT corrupt.

You talked about the wall. I wasn't born during the time the wall went up in Germany, but I have read what it did to families there. Will we ever learn from our mistakes? As for Brexit, I agree that if a country votes to leave, they should leave the EU, not get all wishy washy. That's what elections are for.

Hope Jan doesn't get too mad at you. I had to say my piece and hope you accept it for what it is: a person living in the states where IMHO, tweets are more important than truth.

I read lots of news and blogs from the UK, but realize that I really do not understand what is happening/has happened there with regard to Brexit especially. I think you should realize you do not understand enough about the situation in the US to comment on it. I may have to stop reading your blog which would be a shame because there are some good low carb things on it. Trump is destroying the United States and in my opinion is a total traitor.

Hello, the American president's policy is not to be, so, as the posture he has in offending others as if he had that right, the election of incompetent Trump was a total imbalance to the planet.

Thanks so much for your post... YES---Trump has made some mistakes... He is hated by many who don't even have a clue what is going on. People just 'hear' that he is a horrible person ---so they believe it without thinking of the consequences. I'm glad I'm OLD --and won't be around when my country is totally different (secular, no borders, no diversity, no patriotism, no freedoms, etc.)... That is where we are headed, and for a Patriotic and for a Patriotic Conservative like me ---I am grief-stricken... Just SAD.

I will have to say that as an American I am quite embarrassed by the way he acts sometimes, but he is to be respected and he has done some good, I give him credit for trying to do everything he said he would do but let's face it, we all know that you can't give everything you say you can.
