It has been so nice to look out of our window this week and see sunshine and blue skies. Although in the present situation movement for many is restricted, it can and does help boost our mood! Apparently blue is the favourite colour of all people, and it’s nature’s colour for water and sky. But it was seeing this blue sky that inspired this 'it's a blue (recipe) day post' ... if you have a look at the recipes, they all have a blue theme!

...yummy, take care and stay safe.
Oh, Jan! Now I'm so hungry and need to grocery shop. The only problem of course is what they have available. I always enjoy reading your recipes.
Take care, and stay as safe as possible.
xoxo
Such a beautiful picture...and exactly what we needed to see while in lockdown! Thank you so much for posting this!😊😊
Fantastic recipes too!
I'm just getting my appetite back...so will give it a try!
Have a good afternoon...and keep safe!
Hugs xxx
That chicken dish looks yummy and this word nerd loves the etymological part of the post as well! Thanks for posting and stay safe!
It all looks yummy, and now I'm hungry! Blue skies are something wonderful. Stay safe, Valerie
The blue skies are beautiful and the recipes look delicious.
All of those dishes look good.
Sure looks delicious!
Keep on keeping on 💮
Oh blue cheese, how I love thee. That's one cheese I won't make at home...yet. Apparently when you make it the mould spores travel everywhere. Cheese makers advise that you don't make blue cheese the same day you make bread or your bread will taste like it! I never knew that!
Blue skies are not here today, but we enjoyed a wonderful week of them, so I won't complain. Chicken cordon bleu looks delicious!
Yum.
Very nice recipe. I do try them so keep them coming.
I'm definitely going to try the chicken. Such an easy way to make such a complex dish.
I hope the sun keeps shining on you.
I think my favourite colour is green, but blue has its charms too.
love the recipes - we were just talking about having a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing soon. Chicken cordon blue - a favorite And if that photo is looking out from where you live, WOW...beautiful.
The good part is the weather is getting nicer. The recipes look delicious.
It may be blue, but everything is incredibly colorful. Stay safe, dear Jan. Enjoy the sun while you can.
Thank goodness, my blood sugar has been lower the last two weeks after I stopped any dessert after dinner. I should have known better.
Ooh lovely recipes! I like a (small) amount of blue cheese and chicken is always my favourite. Take care and stay safe, Sue xx
Lettuce and blue cheese. Marvellous. What a wonderful combination.
Thanx Jan. God bless.
Yum yum. All of these recipes look good, but I am especially drawn to the Wedge Salad right now. Stay well out there!
We had approximately 5 minutes of sunshine today...the first we have seen in days. I am hoping tomorrow there will be more.
I love the walking view and also, the heart-shape dishes. Too pretty.
It does look good
I love bleu cheese in any form.
Very nice, lovely photo there.
Lovely blue skies in your photo, Jan. And you are so correct, even if it's through the window seeing sunshine and blue skies does lift up the mood. As always, thank you for the mouth-watering recipes; lettuce and blue cheese, especially...yum!
Hope you're making the best of the spring season, regardless.
Hello,
All three recipes look delicious! I always looks for yummy casseroles!
Thanks for sharing. Take care, stay well! Enjoy your day!
Muy interesante receta. Te deseo salud.
What a beautiful picture. I can picture myself walking along there.
Love the heart dishes.
What good recipe, looks delicious!
Take care and be well
Oh, when you said blue cheese, you said the magic words. To die for, my friend!
Stay well.
Such delicious recipes. Hope you are keeping well!
Oh tis is making me hungry. Blue is a good color, even when it is in the name of some food! hugs-Erika
Blue is my favorite color, but I'll skip the cheese. Take care.
Its lovely to see that beautiful photograph Jan! At least we're still allowed to go outside (well, around our homes), thats a good thing.
Beaut to catch up with you and thanks for your caring messages over the past while xx
I love the chicken recipe. I don't have everything I need, but I do have cooked chicken and cheese. I will improvise, which seems to be the theme of this era. Take good care and appreciate your visit.
We have had a lot of rain lately and gray skies so it is a treat when we have seen the sun, even if we happen to get an hour of it a day it is so thankful!
Hope you are all staying safe!
Wonderful recipe and love the pictures.
Hugs Diane
Great sky shot and delicious sounding 'blue' recipe ~ ^_^
