"With all of its fresh, colourful ingredients, the Mediterranean diet has become a preferred way of eating for many around the world.
When eating the Mediterranean way, you get to discover complex flavours and fill up on healthy fats like olive oil and avocado and rich sources of protein like fish and eggs.
This diet also features fresh vegetables like spinach and zucchini/courgette, which are rich in plant-based fibre to help you stay fuller for longer.
Not only does the Mediterranean diet represent delicious food, but UNESCO also recognized it as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for its emphasis on hospitality, intercultural dialogue, and creativity.
The Mediterranean diet may not only help you live healthier but also bring out your inner hospitality. Remember: Mangia bene, ridi spesso, ama molto, or "Eat well, laugh often, and love much."

Interesting article.
A lot of my meals are based around the Med diet. Totally delicious and usually simple to prepare as well.
I'm actually considering this diet. It actually fits quite well with my vegetarian lifestyle. I've already started eating an avocado a day and I'm loving it.

Reading your post, I got a flash of must make kale chips. :)
Yummy food! I'm looking forward to being to eat properly again when my body starts behaving properly! Valerie
I always think the food looks so colourful and appetising as well as being healthy.
If I can make peace with the Fish & seafood, then maybe I'll try too!
I try to eat a Mediterranean diet most of the time, I feel sad if there's not a lot of colour on my plate.
That salmon looks divine!!
I enjoyed this tremendously Jan. Yesterday I fixed a Mediterranean Orzo Salad and the flavors were very palate pleasing. All the best to you 😊

Their diet is so healthy -- and tasty, too! How lovely to know all the benefits.
My girls love salmon, but it is one thing neither of us care for. I could almost live on tomatoes...just add a little bit of this and that to them. IF they are homegrown!
Excellent post! Thank you Jan! Big Hugs!
Good food, too, so you don't feel like you're "dieting".
