Haha great photos and ideas. Our summer is in full swing just now. I donno if you know this, but schools up here finish earlier than down there - end of June we finished. Happy summer :-D

Such fun photos in this post, Jan. I hope you will see your grandchildren very soon. The caprese salad looked like fun but perhaps a bit time consuming to make?

I heard on the news that some schools in England were closing early due to the heat. Hope it gets better for you all soon. We have a rough weekend but after that should get some rain and a little cooler temps.
Enjoy your summer time fun with the kids!

Hello Jan, :=) What happy and fun photos of summer days. The heat has been excessive here though, and most days I keep out of the sun,shutters drawn after a nice salad lunch. I have already tried your Ladybird salad, and it impressed my Grandchildren. I'm glad that you will be seeing more of your Grandchildren. I am excited today, because my 31 yr old Grandson is coming to stay two weeks with me. He is such good company, and I know we will have a fun time.

Thank you for your comments Jan. One got posted, but the other two went into spam, and I don't know how to correct this. I'm so sorry you are having this problem.

All the best.:=)

Oh my gosh! Those caprese salad ladybugs are absolutely AMAZING! I shall have to send this to my daughter. Thank you.
I sure hope the weather cools down for you. We are actually planning to be in London next year and thankfully it will be in March and not July. On the other hand, I hope it's not too cold then.

I had to look a few times until I realised the ingredients for Caprese salad. How clever of you Jan. A great decorative idea. Thanx.

God bless.

Nope ... had to look again ... what are the black spots on the tomatoes of the Caprese salad? Olive bits?

Lovely photo of the grandchildren. Let's hope there's plenty of days of sunshine coming up now that they've broken up from school for summer.

Hello Victor, the black spots are made from thick balsamic vinegar :)

Many thanks for your comments, wishing you a lovely weekend.

All the best Jan

Enjoy your time with the grandkids Jan and Eddie. Two of ours are too big and independent to spend a day with nana and grandad now but the other three will be spending time with us for the next five or six weeks.
