A is for Apple, Avocado, Aubergine (Eggplant)

Would any of these be your choices? Do you have another dish that would fit 'A is for' ?
Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

A is for Apple, and when I think of apple I think of
Apple Crumble
and this low carb recipe, see more details here

A is also for Avocado, have you tried
Avocado Stuffed with Crab and Paprika Mayonnaise
makes a great lunch, see more details here

A is for Aubergine
although some readers know it as eggplant!
Aubergine / Eggplant and Mozzarella Bake
a tasty vegetarian dish, see more details here

You will find a variety of recipe ideas within this blog, and it is important to note, not all may be suitable for you. If you may have any food allergies, or underlying health issues these must always be taken into account. If you are a diabetic and not sure how certain foods may affect your blood sugars, test is best, i.e. use a reliable meter. If you have any concerns about your health it is always advisable to consult your Doctor or health care team.

All the best Jan

No he probado estas recetas y parecen ricas. La manzana me gusta asada.
Buen miércoles para todos.

I would throw in Pizza- or Toast Hawaii, as it comes with Ananas - but you call it pineapple ;-)
Has at least the Apple in it, right?

Todo es muy recomendable. Las berenjenas son muy típicas de mi zona, cortadas, después emborrizadas y fritas y el punto final es untarle con una brocha miel rebajada.

Besos.

We've come away to Greece and left hundreds of cooking Apples unpicked. The neighbors have had apple crumble and apply pie. They now avoid us in case we ask if they need more Apples. Help!

My A goes to Aubergine. I'm very fond of this vegetable full of fiber. I like it mainly roasted and added to salads.

Oh Jan, that avocado sounds like the best ever. I don't have all the ingredients but I do have avocado and I'm going to stuff one with something!

Out of the 3 As, apple is my least favourite! Love the other 2 though <3 :-D

Jan some of your comments are going into spam, but I always make sure to publish them! Blogger can be a real pain at times!

Are you familiar with the sweetener SWERVE? If so, what is your opinion? Thanks.

These are all fabulous! The apple crumble is something I should make soon. My husband would love that!

Out of these three As, my favorite is apple and they are in season now, so an apple crumb recipe is most welcome.

Hello there and many thanks for your question.
Sweeteners have been in the news recently, I think due to the report in the BMJ "Artificial sweeteners and risk of cardiovascular diseases: results from the prospective NutriNet-Santé cohort" which you can see on this link here
https://www.bmj.com/content/378/bmj-2022-071204

However, there are also many articles regarding sweeteners on the internet that you may like to read, these two for example

https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/artificial-sweeteners/art-20046936

https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto/sweeteners

Swerve Sweetener seems to be quite popular and there is an article "Swerve Sweetener : Good or Bad?" that you may like to read, see it here
https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/swerve-sweetener#what-it-is

Of course, whether or not to use sweeteners is an individual choice.

I hope you may find the articles I've highlighted useful.

All the best Jan
