Grilled Peaches : A Summer Dessert

Stunning. Simple. Effortless.
Tastes good too!
A celebration of summer.
All of those words perfectly describe this wonderful dessert!

Ingredients
Serves Four
11g carbs per serving
3 ripe peaches
2 tablespoons butter or coconut oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup (240ml) heavy (double) whipping cream
½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Tips
The peaches may also be served with a generous amount of non-flavoured Greek yogurt.
These grilled peaches adore a hint of vanilla or lime zest!
See recipe instruction here

Cinnamon is a popular spice often associated with baked treats, cereals and smoothies.
However, you may not have considered that the teaspoon of cinnamon that you add to your baked treats may be doing you more good than you realized.
Studies have shown that cinnamon could assist with boosting brain function, fighting cancer, aiding in digestion, supporting weight loss and fighting diabetes.

Wishing you a happy day

All the best Jan

The Fredericksburg peaches are still the ones that are sweet, but not free stone. Should be out and ready to grill soon.

That looks wonderful! I'm eating peaches with my breakfast right now, while they are in the stores and at the farmer's mkt. Trying to find things 'in season'!

I like basalmic vinegar, brown sugar , olive oil and Italian spices of what one likes before I grill them. Not very low carb with that sweet.

Hey Jan,

What a peach of a recipe. Thanks for mentioning cinnamon and if it could give my brain a boost, my last two brain cells would be mighty pleased.

I love raw peaches and yoghurt. In fact I've been enjoying the combination this past week. Grilled peaches sounds different and I expect would be tasty especially if the peaches are nice and ripe.

I love it at this time of year when so many lovely fruits become readily available. Peaches and nectarines are two favourites, plus Apricots now.

I never thought of grilling peaches. I always delight in eating them fresh. Surely, fresh fruit, pure and unadulterated is one of life’s great treats. Today I had both strawberries and cantaloupe - absolutely delicious.

Citrus season here...with strawberries just beginning to make an appearance.
