... a nice cup of coffee goes well with one of these chocolate treats.

Did you notice what these chocolate treats had in common?
Yes, dark chocolate (cocoa) ...which "is loaded with nutrients that can positively affect your health. It's made from the seed of the cocoa tree, it is one of the best sources of antioxidants on the planet.

Studies show that dark chocolate (not the sugary type) can improve health and lower the risk of heart disease.

Dark Chocolate is Very Nutritious:

If you buy quality dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, then it is actually quite nutritious.
It contains a decent amount of soluble fiber and is loaded with minerals.

A 100 gram bar of dark chocolate with 70-85% cocoa contains:
11 grams of fiber.
67% of the RDA for Iron.
58% of the RDA for Magnesium.
89% of the RDA for Copper.
98% of the RDA for Manganese.
It also has plenty of potassium, phosphorus, zinc and selenium."

Above words and much more about dark chocolate here

Now, I wouldn't recommend eating a whole dark chocolate bar in one go, nor would I suggest you eat ten of these sweet treats in one sitting... but a square (or two) of chocolate or one (or two) of the treats could be very nice indeed!

All the best Jan

I have been eating two squares of dark chocolate every morning, although after my coffee, for ages. Having grown up with only milk chocolate I had never tried dark until a Europeon friend offered me a piece a few years ago and I enjoyed it.
Isn't it comforting to know that chocolate is a healthy choice and it would be fun to try these recipes.

Mmmm, chocolate! I love dark chocolate. I don't tolerate cow milk so the only chocolate I eat is dark.

Yummy! Everyone needs a treat now and then. I love the 70% dark chocolate and plan to try the Salty Chocolate Treats in the near future. The Walnut Fat Bombs sound very interesting too.

The trouble is, it is hard to just eat one. : )

Heck! I even found a 90% dark chocolate bar quite acceptable, even if just a tad bitter.
