Breast Cancer Raising Money and Awareness

Around this globe there are many good people who go that little bit extra to help others. For instance this past weekend it was " Lights, Camera, Action! for The Moon-Walk London. It's one of London’s most loved nights of the year. Organised by breast cancer charity Walk the Walk, The Moon-Walk was at Clapham Common ... Midnight on Saturday 16th May 2015.

It's a unique and wonderful night which brings together women and men wearing decorated bras from across the UK and beyond, uniting to Power Walk a Full Moon (26.2 miles) or Half Moon (13.1 miles) around the capital city, raising money and awareness for breast cancer.

Our daughter-in-law was taking part this year with her friends, and they have been in regular training ... so thanks are also due to their partners / husbands for looking after the home and children whilst the training evenings and actual event was on.

I believe this years theme was "A Night at the Movies" and walkers were asked to pick their favourite film star, and whether they chose Marilyn Monroe or Minnie Mouse, Pretty Woman or Princess Leia, James Dean or James Bond, for one night only the experience was 'electric' and the glamour of the big screen was around as glorious bras filled the streets of London!

Of course there were those who were just so pleased to join in and raise money for a worthwhile charity.
