To determine the effect of a multi medication regime and high carbohydrate low fat diet versus a low carb high fat diet in type 2 diabetics. (T2DM) using two hundred participants.
RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS
100 participants were fed a high carb high starch low fat diet, foods such as pasta, rice, bread, potatoes and baked products with every meal. Blood glucose was controlled with Actos, Avandia, Gliclazide and other lethal or pancreas destroying, hypo inducing drugs. This group of participants were prescribed statins. All drugs and some junk food supplied by DUK acknowledgements.
The control group of 100 participants used a low carb high fat diet and regular exercise regime.
The high carb low fat group.
After adjustment for baseline CVD and other confounders, the high carb low fat group showed progression of CVD, muscle and kidney damage was significantly higher in more frequent statin users than in less frequent users. All participants blood glucose increased to highly dangerous levels. All lipid profiles worsened, particululy triglyceride levels. HDL plummeted. Within 5 years 44 participants had died. 47 had undergone limb amputation. Almost all were displaying retinopathy, some had gone completely blind. Varying degrees of neuropathy was found in all surviving participants.
The low carb high fat group.
With this group blood glucose dropped to non diabetic within 7 days. Double figure HbA1c results at diagnosis had dropped to <6 within 3 months. Average weight loss in this period was 35lbs. Lipid numbers improved significantly and participants reported minimal drug use. A feeling of wellbeing and achievement was a key feature with this group. This group recorded 100% survival rate at five years. No neuropathy or retinopathy was found. Minimal medication was used by approximately one third of the group and was mainly metformin.
If you choose to follow the dietary advice propagated by the NHS and DUK it is highly recommended you seek psychiatric counselling before it is too late. The researchers concluded the NHS and DUK dietary advice remains useless, dangerous and scientifically illiterate
Please note !
If you follow the low carb high fat route to diabetic enlightenment, be very wary of some diabetes forums. Telling others about your success can lead to banning, thread locking, post deletion and vicious attacks from the survivors of the high carb medication addicted group. Be warned !
