"This two ingredient taste sensation can work for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We make it as a go-to quickie meal in our house. Sometimes you don’t have time to make a big feast. Sometimes you just gotta eat and get back to it.
Use a mild sausage if you’re making this for breakfast and a hot Italian sausage for lunch or dinner. Heh heh, I said hot Italian sausage.
Sausage and Apple Fry ‘Em Up
1 Pound loose sausage-meat
1 Gala apple, peeled, cored and cubed into 1 centimeter pieces
1 Gala apple, peeled, cored and cubed into 1 centimeter pieces
In a large sauté pan on high heat, brown the sausage until almost cooked through. Add in apple pieces and stir around. Lower heat to medium and continue to cook until apple is soft and sausage is crispy. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately."
Look out for the lower carb variety of sausage-meat for this recipe.
