It must be obvious to almost all, our little team enjoys blogging, we have been doing so for over eight years on various sites. Every now and again we get a comment that really fires us up, and motivates us to work harder for the cause. This comment came in yesterday.
"I'm a low carber. My Dr got me started for my diabetes, high blood pressure and advancing kidney disease. I have been eating low carb for a year and 2 months now, I've lost 115.8 lbs. I'm no longer classified as a diabetic, I no longer have high blood pressure and my kidney profile is now normal. I don't do a lot of exercise, but I do walk about 1 1/2 to 2 miles a day. When I started, I had to use a mobility scooter. I turned 62 a month after I started the life change. I'm 63 now and healthier than I was at 33. I love your blog and recipes. Thank you." Diane Wesson
As you have read, a lady going from a very poor place, and suffering very serious health problems, to almost being reborn. I defy anyone, including medical professionals, to tell me this could have been achieved in any other way, other than a low carb diet, or as we prefer to say low carb lifestyle. Diets imply a temporary change, to maintain a life long change, the changes have to be made for life. No drugs would ever have achieved the fantastic turnaround Diane has made in her health.
Thank you Diane for sharing your story, the very best of health to you and yours.

Diane's story motivates and does give hope and empowerment for one's own choices and the difference they make!
There is diabetes in my family, and I am also conscious of the carbohydrates - trying to eat the good ones, with fibers and nutrition.
Thanks for your inspiring blog here, Eddie!
