pretty in pink at 3yrs
pretty as ever
'live, love, laugh' at 4 yrs
recipe for a happy life for years to come
sometimes a black and white photo is just nice
She is just four years old and has been brought up on a lower carb lifestyle (not to the extent of myself or Eddie) but she has enjoyed whole fresh foods prepared lovingly for her by her Mum, and Dad too! Things like chicken, gammon, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, avocados, prawns, scrambled eggs, cheese, whole fat milk, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, cherries .... the list of foods she likes is long. Things like crisps and sweets are kept to a minimum as a treat not an every day occurrence.
When growing up, as a baby, whole fresh foods were cooked, prepared, pureed as appropriate and kept in small yogurt type pots, and even in ice cube trays to be thawed and ready for use when required. Preparation has always been key, as it is in anyone's low carb lifestyle.
Whether you be young or that bit older ... it just makes sense to me to live the LCHF lifestyle, and as Eddie would say "You know it makes sense why fight it!"
All the best Jan

Um abraço e boa semana.
Lovely photos. Your grandaughter is such a cutie.
She's adorable!!! Have an amazing week Guys.
Sweet little thing.
Tonight we have Miss 8 staying with us, tomorrow Miss 10, the Friday Master 4 :)
What a sweet young lady; so adorable! And what a nice post. You reminded me of when my girls were babies with those ice cube trays! Itty bitty sized portions of wholesome goodness!
Oh my goodness, is she ever adorable!! That is great, we were not that good but I was very stuck on not having my daughter have soda/pop when she was young and she never really cared for it once she got older, she went through a phase when we would go out for dinner we would let her order what she wanted and she did do it for a time, but now in her 20's she always goes for water :) She is better on nutrition then we are, which I am thankful for :)
Have a wonderful week!
Beautiful child! I was reading something yesterday about probiotics as a supplement to eating properly, but there a good and bad ones of those as well. Hard to know what is really the best!
She is such a sweetie... I like Elsa from Frozen too... I wish I had more say over what Valentina had eaten as a child because she has such unhealthy eating habits... I am gone so early in the day and do not arrive back home until late... because I wasn't organized she was given 'convenient' food ... not the most healthy that is for sure ... I am working with her now but it is harder as a teenager than starting out living the healthy life from when you are young xox
What a cutie she is. I like pink too. : )
One of my nephew's favorite color is pink, his dad hates it
Well, she's just adorable! How proud you must be...I want one!!! Glad to hear she's eating well too.xxx
Francisco - obrigado por seus comentários gentis
Jo - yes, she is a cutie
Nikki (Sarah) - yes, she is adorable
Margaret - yes, she is so sweet. Enjoy the visits of your Miss 8, Miss 10, and Master 4
Martha - yes, she is adorable and loves eating fresh foods. It is such a good idea when they are babes to make, and I use your words, the "Itty bitty sized portions of wholesome goodness!"
Connie - yes, she is adorable. Her mum, and dad, have started her (and her brother) well introducing them to real fresh foods, it is a good start to life and one we hope will continue through and beyond into adulthood.
Tom - yes indeed "cuties!!!"
Linda - yes, she is a beautiful child and a wonderful grand-daughter. With regard to your query about probiotics ... you may find this article "What are Probiotics and Why are They so Good For You?" written by Kris Gunnars at Authority Nutrition helpful:

Launna - yes, she is a sweetie. Reading through your comment - it is never too late to introduce children to a healthier and fresher approach to foods, don't look back at what was ... move on to what is! The other tip is, if you get resistance (which is quite common) just introduce one healthier food choice at a time, it's never a good idea for you or the child to feel pressured.
Karen - yes, she is a cutie and pink is such a great colour isn't it!
Adam - pink can be a great colour on anyone, and I'm glad your nephew loves it.
Snowbird - yes, she is adorable and I so enjoy my hugs and cuddles with her, and all the grand-children. They are very good eaters, which is so wonderful.
My thanks to you all for taking the time to comment, they are always lovely to receive, read and share.
All the best Jan
What a wonderful photo! Both in full pink and the black and white.
