Louis Armstrong - We Have All The Time In The World

"Holy Cow, I don't believe it ! Jan is starting off Saturday Night is Music Night ! "

Yes, I am .....and it's a Louis Armstrong song "We Have All the Time in The World"..... which many may know is a James Bond theme sung by Louis Armstrong. The music composed by John Barry and the lyrics by Hal David and used in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The song title, "We Have All the Time in the World", is taken from James Bond's final words in both the novel and the film, spoken after his wife's death.

The song did not register in the music rating charts in the UK when first released, only becoming well known 25 years later, in 1994 as part of a Guiness beer commercial after My Bloody Valentine chose to cover it for charity. Armstrong's version was then re-released and reached number 3 in the UK singles charts. In 2005, a BBC survey showed it is the third most popular love song played at weddings, (thanks to Wiki for the info).

The song's always been a favourite of mine and as it's been a 'chilled' week I thought why not take time to enjoy .....hope you do.

All the best Jan
