These words below are from Detective Dietitian Christin Blog
Thought it worth a post..........
What do you think?
"Well…. this is my outlet to share my discoveries through life
as I continue to strive to find the best solution to nutrition and
wellness. I just can’t stop searching for the truth and any information
that may help people feel better. I’m a personal trainer and a graduate
student pursing a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. As much
as I love school and the process of becoming a Registered Dietitian, I
believe that my learning does not end there.
Isn’t this health industry confusing?! Eat this not that, do this not
that, one day it’s low fat another day it’s high fat…I’m exhausted just
typing this. You see my beliefs are not the conventional
recommendations that are practiced by most RD’s. If I ate what was
recommended by the government as far as a “healthy diet”, I’d be fat. My
first year of graduate school was quite disappointing, the emphasis on
low-fat grain based diets just made me cringe. But instead of being
disappointed I found an even deeper desire to help people. A standard
American diet of soy, corn, and wheat, is not for everyone; in fact it
isn’t good for most Americans.
I once gave vegan-ism a shot because the idea of saving animals and
being sustainable seemed wise, however; that was the worst dietary
choice I could have ever made for my body. I was gassy, bloated, I
gained stomach fat for the first time in my life, I was always tired,
moody and my hair started falling out even though I was hitting my macro
and micro nutrients recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and
Dietetics. I gave it 6 months and then I couldn’t help but want to
return to my low-carb lifestyle; where I had a flat tummy, beautiful
hair, and could go on a date without thinking about having to squeeze my
butt cheeks together the whole entire night….Thank god those days are
over! So here I am returning to a lower carb and much happier lifestyle.
Here you will find information on nutrition, fitness, and anything that
helps promote a healthy lifestyle."

Could she also be like your good friend Franzizka ? Her comment of 'You see my beliefs are not the conventional recommendations that are practiced by most RD’s.' do appear refreshing.

The health industry, life in general can be confusing. We all have to do our own research if we truly want to see what is going on.

I enjoyed that! I especially laughed at the butt cheek part - something that definitely part of higher carb eating.
