OK let’s get serious, there is nothing I hate more than censorship. I have seen countless threads locked at diabetes.co.uk together with many bannings, post deletions and post edits. Having said that, I have never seen a post that should have been deleted or edited. Never once have I seen a racist, homophobic, overtly sexist or a post encouraging anyone to break the law.
I have seen so many posts spreading misinformation and dangerous advice, that go through without a word being said. As Geoff stated in his post today, the powers that be want all criticism and so called subversive comments made illegal. Without freedom of speech a country, organisation and forum is not worth a light. No doubt someone will quote Godwins law at me, but I will leave you with words of one of the most evil men in the history of the world. This is what happens when people cannot, or are afraid to speak.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

The "DCUK - Sh*t" team are braying about their survey:
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/what-is-the-benefit-of-this-global-diabetes-community.51102/#post-461317
"The Diabetes Forum is the UK's largest diabetes forum with over 80,000 members. Members find support, ask questions and share experiences.
A survey conducted in November 2013 proved the effectiveness the Diabetes Forum, revealing that membership resulted in:
35.2% of members having an improved HbA1c
54.4% of members having improved their diet choices
71.4% of members having an improved understanding of their diabetes
44.1% of people having improved blood glucose control
48.3% of people having improved their ability to cope with their diabetes
48.5% of people having improved confidence in managing their diabetes"
They "bum" about the membership but if they used the total membership on these survey results the results would be cr*p - Eh!
And how did most improve their situation ?
90% plus by low carbing or at the very least, a drastic reduction in carbs and for many a drastic reduction in meds !!!
Eddie
How apt they put up that survey today! Someone at DCUK's got a sense of humour at least.
If you remember Eddie it was the "surveys" I put up to highlight their hypocrisy over discussing diabetes in an adult an informed way that they objected to back then and led to me and the others being banned oh and half their moderation team quitting and losing around 100 regular posters.
So apparently its one rule for them and one for their forum members ...

It's only ever business with me xyzzy, I have never hated anyone in my life. We are all far from perfect, but we learn, and all have much to learn.
Let's stick together and spread the word. Thanks for your comments.

Yes there's no real dislike and we may have differences of opinion but we all have the same goal, and that's to help other T2s to realise bonkers, phoenix, cherub and noblehead et al are more of a danger to the health of T2s than the NHS guidelines.
Lets also pay tribute to the new kids on the block Brett and Mo Tis who are the latest in a long line of experts in the field of T2 diabetes.
